Mount Fuji at blue hour, snow-capped against a dawn sky

Travel Photography — Field Notes

Notes from
the road.

I'm an engineer who travels with a camera. This is a growing archive of trips across Japan, Central Asia, and a dozen countries in between.

An engineer
with a camera

By trade I'm a software engineer — I spend my days on backend systems and architecture. Photography is the other half of how I think: the part that slows down and actually looks at things.

Travel is where the two meet. I plan trips like systems and then let them fall apart in the best way — temple lanes in Kyoto, an early start for Mount Fuji, the old Silk Road cities of Central Asia.

This site is the field notebook — the frames worth keeping. No client work, no pitch. Just places I wanted to remember.

I love talking about where these were taken, swapping travel notes, or figuring out a print. And if you want to nerd out about software while you're at it — even better. Drop a line; I read everything.
